Sofapaka capture Congolese midfielder Mutuyimana

Sofapaka FC have captured secured the services of Congolese midfielder Moussa Mutuyimana on a two year deal.

The development was confirmed to Nairobi News by the club President Elly Kalekwa.

“He is a player recommended to us by our head coach, one who will add value to our side both on the offensive and defensive front. His experience will also be an asset especially on the continental front,” Kalekwa said.

Mutuyimana is a Congolese born but naturalized Rwandan, who until recently turned out for Police FC in the Rwandan league.

The midfielder who is expected to link up with his new employer by the end of this week, joining other new signings Kevin “Daddy” Omondi, Willis Ouma from Chemelil Sugar and former Nakuru All Stars midfielder Erastus Mwaniki.

Sofapaka, the 2014 Kenyan Premier League runners up and domestic cup winners, are gearing up for a congested league season in 2015, with the club set to compete in three domestic competitions, as well as in the Caf Africa Confederation Cup, with a Valentine Day clash against Zimbabwe club Platinum FC lined up in the preliminary phase of the competition.
