Sodomy suspect gave mad woman Sh50 to have sex with boys, witnesses

Three pupils have told a court that a suspect in a sodomy case paid a mad woman Sh50 for her to engage in sexual intercourse with boys.

The pupils, who testified before resident magistrate Eunice Kelly, said they were forced by the suspect to sleep with the mentally disturbed girl who used to visit his house at Railways Estate within Nakuru town.

The suspect is facing 30 counts relating to sexual offences. He has since denied the charges of promoting child prostitution by showing school children pornographic films unknown dates in March.

The prosecution told the court that the suspect encouraged the boys aged between 12 and 15 to engage in a sexual intercourse with the mentally disturbed girl in his house before sodomising them.

One boy who testified on Wednesday said the accused called him and his friend to go to his house before he played a pornographic film.

WATCH PORN

The minor, who identified the suspect in court, said it was his first time to watch a pornographic film.

“I kept thinking about the sexual scenes I had seen on the screen which made me to come back later with my friends.

“He put the pornographic film again and gave the mad girl Sh50 for her to have sex with us. My friends agreed and he told us not to tell anyone,” said the witness.

Another witness told the court that the suspect called him and his classmates to his house to take a piece of sugar cane. He claimed to have found the suspect watching a pornographic film in company of the mentally ill lady.

The victim said half of his classmates had sex with the girl.

KEEP A SECRET

Other boys who testified in court said they were chased out of the house because they were seen as unable to keep a secret.

They claimed the suspect lured boys in his house using snacks, sugarcanes and other foodstuffs.

The suspect, a father of five girls, was arrested in April after a group of women reported to Nakuru central police station.

The suspect who before his arrest was working as a mortuary attendant, a watchman and a boda boda operator has been in remand after the court denied him bond over his safety.

The hearing will resume on November 7.
