Man shot dead by boda boda riders in his car


A man was shot dead by two boda boda riders after an argument along Kangundo road, Nairobi on Thursday night.

According to eye witnesses, the victim was in his car when he was approached by the two and after a brief argument the man in the passenger seat drew out a pistol and shot him on the chest, killing him on the spot.

After the shooting, the boda boda riders sped off. An empty 9 mm cartridge was recovered at the scene. The body of the victim was moved to Kenyatta University mortuary pending autopsy and identification.

In Mathare valley area, three suspected gangsters were shot dead by police officers after robbing members of the public.

The three are said to have been part of an armed gang that was going door-to-door in a robbing spree before a member of the public raised alarm and police on patrol responded.

STOLEN GOODS

Two civilians who were shot during the robbery were rushed to MSF Hospital for treatment.

Police recovered two barreled homemade pistol with three rounds of ammunition, 1 kg of cannabis sativa and household goods suspected to have been stolen from the public.

In another incident in Shauri Moyo, the body of a 35 year old male was found outside the gate of the chairman of Kamukunji slums, Mr Nduati Mwangi, with two deep cuts on the head.

In Amboseli, Muthangari, the body of another male aged 35 years old was also found in a pool of blood at a veranda in unoccupied building within Amboseli. The body had visible injuries on the head and chest and there were three stones placed near his head.

The bodies were moved to City Mortuary for postmortem. Police are investigating the incidence.
