Nondescripts RFC will on Saturday host the second annual Cow Crap event where Sh1 million will be up for grabs.

Nondescripts RFC will on Saturday host the second annual Cow Crap event where Sh1 million will be up for grabs.

One end of the Jamhuri Showground will be marked with 1,000 squares, and participants are encouraged to “buy” as many boxes as they can afford at Sh2000 to enhance their chances of winning.

A cow will be brought onto the pitch, and the owner of the box in which its dung falls will win the Sh1 million. Ian MaRrae won the cash during the last championship.

The event will be preceded by the club’s Eric Shirley Shield (ESS) and Kenya Cup fixtures against Eldoret RFC, which will kick off earlier than usual.

“We spoke to Eldoret and Kenya Rugby Union and agreed to have the ESS game played at 1pm instead of 2pm while the Kenya Cup match will be held at 3pm instead of 4pm,” said Nondies chairman Thomas Opiyo.

The Cow Crap Championship was earlier slated for mid-December, but was postponed following heavy rains.

“We weren’t sure we would attract a big audience because of the rain, resulting in the postponement,” Opiyo added.

This marks Nondies’ last phase of their 90 years birthday celebrations, which kicked off last year.

Meanwhile, in the Kenya Cup, Kenya Harlequin host leaders Nakuru RFC, while KCB face Strathmore Leos.
