Seven suspects deny killing Kabete MP Muchai


Seven suspects charged in connection to the killing of Kabete MP George Muchai his driver and two bodyguards have denied the charges.

The seven face counts of murder and robbery with violence. The charges carry a maximum sentence of death penalty.

If found guilty, the accused could be sentenced to hang “twice” since each of the two separate capital offences carries a maximum death penalty.

The seven allegedly murdered Mr Muchai, his two bodyguards Samuel Kimathi Kailikia and Samuel Lekakeny Matanta, and his driver Stephen Ituu Wambugu on the night of February 6 along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi.
