A Kenyan man is being held in police custody following his arrest at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while attempting to traffic seven female foreigners out of the country.

The Kenyan national, who been identified as Geoffrey Mutemi Manzi, was reportedly attempting to traffic the foreigners to Oman.

According to the police, the foreigners were five Tanzanians and two Ugandans. The police however did not reveal their ages but said that they were young girls.

Two weeks ago Kenyan authorities arrested 71 immigrants in Nairobi who were being trafficked through JKIA to Oman with fake entry stamps on their passports.

A week later, 10 more Ugandan nationals were arrested in their hideout in Uhuru Estate in an operation that also nabbed a Kenyan national.

Police later said the arrested foreigners were being trafficked to the Middle East.
