Safaricom are title sponsors of the BAKE Awards 2016

Safaricom have been announced as the title sponsors for this year’s BAKE Awards. The competition was established in 2012 by the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) and it awards the best Kenyan blogs in different categories.
Safaricom have sponsored the awards 3 times in the past. Kennedy Kachwanya, the BAKE Chairman, while announcing the partnership thanked Safaricom for the role it has played in supporting bloggers and the online space in Kenya.
The other sponsors for this year’s awards are EatOut Kenya, Xpose, Samsung and Coca-Cola.
This year’s BAKE Awards was launched on 8th January with blogs being submitted into the competition. Thereafter, judges comprising of Mikul Sh ah, Ahmed Salim, TerryAnne Chebet and Muthoni Maingi nominated the best five each category. Voting was opened up to the public on March 1st and will close on May 1st.
