Ruto’s hilarious jokes on Raila, Kalonzo, Weta

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday made fun of Cord co-principals with unfaltering metaphors that left the crowd he was addressing rocking in laughter.

In a thinly-veiled jibe at Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, Mr Ruto termed the threesome as lacking in direction.

Speaking during a harambee at Mulathankari Secondary School in Meru, without mentioning names the DP said that the opposition leaders were clueless regarding their presidential candidate in next year’s election.

“These people don’t understand their own party and have no idea who will be their candidate. They are just gambling with themselves,” Mr Ruto said.

Amid laughter he went ahead to make fun of the three coalition leaders by describing and characterizing them as a confused bunch.

“Is it going to be the guy who says he has one bullet left, which no one knows what he will use for; or is the one who doesn’t know right from left and is always in the middle; or is it the other one who was beaten by his wife the other day?” Mr Ruto wondered aloud.

He went ahead to pose: “How can a grown man be beaten by his wife and then you run to the police to report the matter?”

Earlier in the week, during an interview on national TV, Mr Ruto also mentioned the issue of one of the Cord leaders being battered by his wife.
