Ruto’s adopted daughter Nadia looking all grown now

The online community can’t get enough of a picture of Deputy President William Ruto with his adopted daughter Nadia Cherono looking all grown up.

In a picture shared by secretary digital Dennis Itumbi, the father and daughter hold hands while walking into State House, Kampala, for a meeting with Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni.

Nadia was dressed in a white dress with a small coat and black shoes while Mr Ruto looked sharp in a navy blue suit.

Mr Ruto was also accompanied by his wife Rachel.

“This Weekend in Kampala, DP Ruto told young People Nothing is Impossible – That was in words. In demonstrating those words, he held the hand of Nadia Jerono into Ugandan State House, a message that even if her fate was hopeless, thrown by the road and only discovered by cows – It is possible to be anything and to be anything,” wrote Mr Itumbi.

Mr Ruto adopted Nadia two years ago after she was found buried with parts of her body decomposing and was later transferred to Madre Ippolita Children’s Home for specialized treatment and adoption.

He named her after her mother.

“I’ve named her Cherono after my mother and made her part of my family,” Ruto said at the time.
