Ruto and ‘hustler nation’ brigade celebrate by-elections results

Deputy President William Ruto and his brigade are in a good mood following results in the Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections.

David Ochieng of Movement for Growth and Democracy’s (MDG)  won the Ugenya seat, while Wiper party’s Julius Mawathe won in Embakasi South.

The DP on Saturday morning congratulated the two newly elected MPs, terming their wins a “victory for the hustler nation.”

Dr Ruto was joined by other MPs from his camp who grabbed the chance to express that the deputy president has proved he has what it takes to win the presidential election come 2022.

‘HUSTLER NATION HAS SPOKEN’

“CONGRATULATIONS Ochieng (Ugenya) & Mawathe (Embakasi) for your God given victory. Jameni wacheni MUNGU aitwe MUNGU. The hustler nation has spoken, the people have decided. GLORY TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD,” the DP tweeted Saturday morning.

Many replied to his tweet, among them his foot soldiers.

Replying to the DP’s tweet, Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut said; “‏You must occupy the house at the hill.”

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi said Kenyans are passing the message that they are tired of dynasties.

“We forgive all those shenanigans who spoke ill about Dr. William Ruto in the just concluded campaigns. We forgive them unconditionally. Kenyans want development oriented leaders and not sycophants with empty rhetoric,” Mr Sudi said on his Facebook.

‘JOIN HUSTLER TEAM’

“Julius Mawathe and David Ochieng’ were William Ruto’s candidates of choice as confirmed by ODM brigade. Bear in mind that William Ruto never exerted his effort in campaigns but Kenyans have passed a very strong message and I urge all those defeated to join the hustler dream team,” he added.

Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, addressing ODM leader Raila Odinga and Siaya senator James Orengo, said; “Gentlemen, please don’t take these matters to the heart. Mambo ya elections saa zingine hayaeleweki. What we don’t understand is why your Baluhyia political giants (Atwoli/Eliud Sifuna/Philip Etale) didn’t ask their kinsmen to turnout en vote for @TheODMparty.”

Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula also congratulated the duo, saying; “Our support and prayers were not in vain. Mungu halali, hasahau wala hachoki!!!”
