Rose Muhando signs two distributors
In the past year, there has been some friction between one of Tanzania’s top gospel artistes, Rose Muhando and Kenyan music distributors on who has the right to distribute her music in Kenya.
According to sources, a Tanzania-based music distribution company, Umoja Audiovisual, had contracted Kenya’s veteran musician Japheth Kassanga’s company to distribute Muhando’s music in Kenya.
However, a different Kenyan company went to Tanzania and secretly signed another contract with her, creating conflict in the process.
Contacted, Kassanga confirmed to Off the Hook that it was true but that all parties involved were now working on a way to solve the problem.
