Relief as county strike called off and services resume

September 15th, 2013 1 min read

County workers returned to work on Thursday after their union signed an agreement with City Hall, ending a nine-day strike that paralysed operations across the city.

The back-to-work agreement will see the county government implement in full, beginning end of this month, a comprehensive bargaining agreement (CBA) signed with the defunct City Council and whose dismissal by governor Evans Kidero precipitated the dispute.
