Raila wishes Ida happy birthday with this sweet message
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Monday took time off politics to wish Ida, his wife of 42 years, a happy birthday.
The Cord leader, who has been on a campaign trail in the western bloc on the raging sugar debate, posted photos of the low-key birthday celebrations with his wife and a few members of his extended family, among them grandchildren.
Raila, 70, penned a heartfelt message to Ida, who turns 65, which was posted on his website rao.co.ke.
It read: “To my darling wife Ida,
The past 42 years have been an incredible journey and as I await to celebrate our 42nd anniversary in a few days, I want to celebrate you today on your birthday as my wife, the mother of our children and a strong, inspirational leader to many around this world.
May the good Lord fill your day with joy, laughter, love and blessings. Here is to 42 more wonderful years together.
