Radio presenter celebrates YouTube achievement

Former NRG radio presenter Chebet Ronoh has shared her excitement upon receiving the silver creator Award from YouTube for garnering a subscriber count of over 100K.

The feat that has excited the content creator, is awarded to channels that surpass the 100,000 subscribers milestone. Ms. Ronoh currently boasts 125K subscribers on YouTube, and 411K on Instagram.

“I have no words!!! WE DID IT! I’m literally crying! GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH,” she said.

THANK YOU FOR 125k!! I just want to thank everyone that has subscribed to my channel. This really means a lot. Since 2018, it feels really dope. Thank you so much,” said the influencer.

Deborah Chebet Ronoh is a popular Kenyan media personality who shot to fame after posting a video chiding an old man who wanted to date her. The situation angered her and forced her to make a video ranting about the audacity of the man, which went viral spurring her to release many more videos which netizens found rather entertaining.

Ms. Ronoh was a mid-morning presenter at NRG radio. She joined NRG stars alongside Charlie Karumi, a show where YouTube meets radio, a position that was previously held by Elodie Zone, a popular YouTuber who stepped down in order to pursue other endeavors. Chebet, however, quit NRG radio in April 2020, eight months after joining the station.

Towards the end of 2020, she landed a job with Homeboyz radio where she co-hosted the morning show alongside G Money and Neville. She made the announcement of her return to radio through her social media pages, which her fans were excited about.

A few weeks into her job, Chebet called it quits saying she didn’t listen to God or think through it and just accepted the job. She said that although the decision stained her name, she realized it didn’t make her happy. The comedian currently works on her online content, sharing videos of random things she does, and narrating her life experiences.
