Proposed parking fee is simply punitive
I was shocked to read the news that the County government intends to raise the parking fee in the CBD from Sh140 to Sh300.
All this, to raise money for the city development.
Good as the intention is, this is punitive to motorists.
By increasing the amount by more than 100 per cent, City Hall might as well tell motorists to leave their vehicles at home.
