President Kenyatta’s adopted son scores C+

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s adopted son, Daniel Owira, formerly of Highway Secondary School, scored above average grades during the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examinations.

Owira, better known as Otongolo, managed a mean grade of C plus which is acceptable for enrollment in Kenyan public universities.

Owira came into the limelight during the 2013 Kenya Schools, Colleges and Universities Drama Festivals in Mombasa when he recited a hilarious poem entitled Otongolo that left the Head of State in stitches.

The president thereafter hosted the boy at State House Nairobi, where he pledged to pay the remainder of his high school fees.

Owira, who has since appeared in a number of commercials in the media, had repeatedly made public his wish to study journalism.
