EXPOSED: Vendors selling pornography in Nairobi go hi-tech.
Pornographic material handlers in Nairobi are taking advantage of the latest mobile technology to hawk around content to potential customers at a fee, Nairobi News has established.
Users of mobile phone application, WhatsApp, can now access nude pictures, videos and other related content at the click of a button for as little as Sh100, according to messages and content at our disposal.
Nairobi News is in possession of a random WhatsApp message from an anonymous number, that outlines how to acquire nude photos, sex videos and other explicit sexual content.
The catch, however, is that anyone who needs such content must make advance payment through a mobile money number.
The random adverts sent to Nairobi News reads:
(“Wanna see Kenyan xxx vids (videos) and pics (pictures) hot and wet? Wanna see Kenyan “lele” gals in action? Ever seen a Kenyan gal use a dildo (sex toy)? For just – Sh 100 for 30 hot pics. Sh 300 for campus girls getting intimate. MPESA your cash to 07296***90 u get what you want. All Kenyan. Private and confidential. You send your cash, you get what u want.”)
This development represents a major shift form previously used methods of accessing such content, that has been coded “adults only” by the Kenyan public.
The normal practice in Nairobi has been for consumers of such content to secretly purchase them on a DVD disk and therefore get to view them behind closed doors away from prying eyes.
