Police threaten to arrest ‘porn trafficker’ Zari

By DAILY MONITOR February 12th, 2015 1 min read

Ugandan Police have threatened to arrest city socialite Zarinah Ntale, popularly known as Zari, after she jumped police bond given to her when she was charged with trafficking pornography.

The warning comes as detectives widen investigations into trafficking of sex videos, sharing them through social media platforms, including Facebook and Whatsapp.

Zari’s sex videos were circulated on social media last month. This prompted the police to interrogate her on charges of trafficking in pornography before she was released on police bond. But when she left for South Africa, she never reported back to police.

SEX TAPES

Police spokesman Fred Enanga confirmed that they are looking for Zari with the aim of arresting her.

“She should report to police with immediate effect before we look for her. We need to talk to her about the videos that were circulated on social media,” Mr Enanga said.

Zari’s incident is part of the many sex tapes police are investigating.

Detectives are also looking for Desire Luzinda’s ex-lover, who allegedly posted videos of him and Luzinda having sex.

Mr Enanga said Franklin Emuobor, a Nigerian national, is under investigation by the Special Investigations Division on fraud-related cases.
