Police officer arrested after allegedly defiling 15 year old girl
A police officer attached to Kiambiu Police Post, Kamukunji sub-county has been arrested and detained on suspicion of defiling a 15 year old girl while at the camp.
Police Constable, Joseph Njogu, was arrested on Wednesday and placed in custody at Shauri Moyo Police Station.
According the police, the suspect’s samples have been taken and he will be arraigned in court for custodial order awaiting the outcome of the analysis.
In another incident police fatally shot dead a suspected robber in Kaili Saba area after he and others while armed with a homemade gun robbed one Nelius Nyambura a mobile phone.
Police said they went to the area after receiving report of four armed gangsters and upon confronting them one of them was fatally shot while the rest escaped towards Obama estate.
BODIES DISCOVERED
A homemade pistol capable of firing and eight rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered from the suspect. The body was removed and transferred to city mortuary.
In Mathare two thugs were also shot dead by the police after they attacked and injured an employee of China WUU road Construction Company on Wednesday.
Police on patrol responded to the attacked man’s distress call and shot dead two of the suspects as their accomplices fled. A Tokalev pistol with six rounds of 9mm ammunition, a toy gun, a Somali sword and a Tecno mobile phone were recovered from the slain suspects. The bodies were moved to city mortuary.
Elsewhere, a body of unknown male in his late thirties was discovered lying in a ditch near KMTC stage with deep cuts on his head.
Another body of an unidentified male in his thirties was found lying in a nearby stall in Kawangware Gatina area with no physical injuries.
