Police kill Kayole gang in morning shootout
Four suspected gangsters, among them a woman, were Tuesday morning shot dead by police at Saika near Kayole estate in Nairobi County.
Kayole OCPD Ali Nuno said three guns were found on the suspects.
“Police were on patrol when they saw a suspicious car parked in a field. They approached the occupants and challenged them to produce their identities. Instead the gang opened fire at the police and the police shot back,” said Mr Nuno.
According to the OCPD, one other suspect escaped with gunshot wounds.
Mr Nuno said they found an AK 47, a Ceska pistol and a home-made gun.
