Police kill four gangsters in Njiru, recover pistols

Police on Monday killed four suspected gangsters in Njiru and recovered guns.

The four were part of a group of young men who fled into a nearby building after being ordered to stop by police officers on patrol

The group reportedly started shooting at the officers, prompting a shootout.

Four suspects were killed in the exchange of fire, while the rest managed to escape on foot.

Police recovered four pistols whose serial numbers were erased. Several rounds of ammunition were also recovered at the scene.

The bodies were taken to City morgue for identification and autopsy.

The scene was visited by officers from Kayole and Njiru police stations.
