Police investigate model’s mysterious killing
Detectives have launched investigations into the mysterious killing of a 26-year-old model, whose body was found at her home in Kizingo, Mombasa County.
Police officers said they were following a lead after they collected blood samples from a wall at Ms Janet Asunah’s family home.
“We collected blood samples from the scene and we are looking for fingerprints that will help in the investigations,” Mombasa Urban Police boss Lucas Ogara told the Saturday Nation.
Ms Asunah’s body was found on the floor of her bedroom by her mother, Ms Pamela Anyango, on Tuesday evening, according to a relative, who spoke at the family home. She added that the mother of one appears to have been strangled by her attacker.
Relatives said Ms Asunah had on Tuesday morning dropped off her four-year-old daughter at school but did not pick her up in the evening.
They said Ms Anyango, who was at work, got worried when she was informed by the school that her granddaughter had not been picked up hours later.
She headed to the school and collected the child. On reaching home, she found her daughter dead.
