Police foil Kirinyaga road robbery

Four armed robbers took off empty handed after terrorizing customers and shop attendants at a spare parts shop along Kirinyaga Road.

Police officers on patrol got alarmed after employees of Yocon Auto Parts broke a window on first floor to signal for help.

According to shop attendants, the thugs ordered them to lie down as they searched for valuables.

“They posed as customers before launching an attack on us. I was next to the counter at that time and I received blows and kicks and ordered to lay down,” says Hassan Adan, a shop attendant.

Central police Chief Patrick Oduma confirmed the incident, saying it was an attempted robbery at the shop.

“The 1pm incident involved four thugs armed with pistols who attempted to rob an auto parts shop on Kirinyaga Road,” said Oduma.
