Pipeline rescue operation to ‘last four days’

The rescue operation in the building that collapsed in Kware estate in Pipeline will take three to four days.

This is according to the latest update by Deputy Director and Communication Mwachi Pius Masai.

There had been reports that a mother and her children had been trapped in the rubble.

Masai said the inter-agency operation will go on for days owing to challenges posed by surrounding buildings.

“There are other buildings  surrounding the collapsed building,  one of them is weak and  denying  us space,” said the deputy director.

Well wishers are being urged to support the victims with food and other items.

“We thank all people who have supported us with any kind of assistance towards the attainment of the main objective,” said Mr Masai.
