Photo of minister greeting Cameroonian President draws rebuke on social media
A photo of a Cameroonian minister greeting the country’s president while ‘metres away’ has gone viral on Twitter.
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Pierre Ishmael Bidoung Kpwatt was captured greeting the President Paul Biya with respect during a party.
Mr Bidoung stood metres away from President Biya and stretched out his hand to meet the President’s hand halfway.
The minister bowed heavily during the handshake that has born the #BidoungChallenge and #CourberDosChallenge on Twitter.
Cameroonians have taken up the challenge by mimicking the minister’s gracious bow to the presidential couple during the reception on December 8 at the Unity Palace.
Here are some of the hilarious mimics.
