Passaris opens new year with rare support to Slay Queens

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has opened the new year by slamming people who refuse to embrace slay queens for who they are.

In a tweet on New Year day, she warned against “continuous emotional, mental and physical abuse” to women and girls who “just want to be who they are”.

The tweet included a video of herself with her daughter having 2019 filters on their heads. Her daughter leans over to give her a kiss on the check.

“Enjoyed slaying with my daughter last night as we ushered in the New Year. Let us not demean our women and girls and subject them to continuous emotional, mental and physical abuse for being who they are. Make up. Clothes. Curvy. Tiny waistlines. Outspoken. Bold. Beautiful.,” tweeted Ms Passaris.

She added: “Let’s embrace and allow each other to be the best that we can be without destroying the core of who God (and not Men Playing God) wants us to be.”

Passaris has in the past publicly come to the defence of slay queens.
