Parts of Eastlands to go without water over the weekend
Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has said that parts of Eastlands will be without water this coming weekend.
“The shut-down will facilitate interconnections of two pipelines along Outer Ring Road with a view of improving water supply that will enable NCWSC to serve customers more effectively and efficiently,” Maureen Karugu, the Corporate Affairs manager explained in a statement on Wednesday.
The company said the interruption of water supply will begin on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 6am to Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 6pm.
Areas to be affected include, Kariobangi South and North, Buruburu estate phase one to five, Umoja I and II, Donholm, Tassia, Nyayo, Industrial Area and Avenue Park I and II.
Also to be affected will be parts of Thika road, Mathare 4 Area and Survey.
“While all efforts will be made to minimize the effects of the supply interruption, we request all consumers in the affected areas to use water sparingly during the period of interruption,” the statement added.
