Over 20 MPs attend Papa Dennis video launch

More than 20 Members of Parliament were among the guests who attended gospel musician Papa Dennis’ street feeding and video launch on Wednesday afternoon.

The street feeding program was held at Central Park, Nairobi, where hundreds of street children enjoyed free meals, medical checkup and talent search.

The video launch was then held at the Serena Hotel where the politicians and media personalities attended.

The MPs’ delegation was led by Nandi Hills law maker Alfred Keter, who welcomed the rest of the MPs to make short speeches and congratulate Papa Dennis on his new video, ‘Njoo’.

Among the MPs included Millie Odhiambo, Silverse Anami, Sabina Chege and Maitha Mungaro.

The video was directed by South Africa’s Godfather Productions and sponsored by Maliza Umaskini Initiative, which has helped Papa Dennis’ career for the past five years.

According to Maliza Umaskini’s chairman, Sadat Muhindi, Papa Dennis was giving back to the society by organizing the street feeding day.

“Papa Dennis knows what poverty is, because he was caught up in the post election violence a while back and was left homeless,” said Muhindi.
