Oliech leaves France for gulf league

Dennis Oliech looks to have ended his European career in favour of an extended playing stint in the Gulf after agreeing a deal to join a top flight club in the United Arab Emirates from French club Ajaccio.

According to a report on the player’s soon to be former club’s official website, the player has agreed to join Dubai club Al Nasser for an unspecified duration.

The former Harambee Stars captain’s contract with the French Ligue 2 club has been terminated through mutual consent.

“Respecting both the player’s wish and interests we have released the player,” the club said of the player’s impending departure.

Oliech has had a long distinguished professional career having started out at Qatari club Al Arabi before moving to France where he played Nantes, Auxerre and Ajaccio in the French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
