The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has received 12 motorbikes to enhance their fight against traffic offenders.

NTSA Director General Mr Francis Meja received the motorbikes that will be used for patrols and enforcement of traffic laws in the country.

According to the enforcement director Njeri Waithaka, the 12 motor bikes will enhance their enforcement activities towards ensuring road safety for all.

The motorbikes will be used for patrols, deterrence and response.

“Each and every motorbike will have a breathalyser and the riders will subject drivers to breathe test to check alcohol levels when relevant,” Waithaka told Nairobi News in an interview.
