Nowhere to hide for sacked Itumbi as Twitter trolls pop champagne
Former State House senior director of digital communications Dennis Itumbi faced trolls on social media after he was fired alongside three other directors on Wednesday.
Mr Itumbi has attracted supporters and detractors in equal measure with his posts that support the Jubilee and critic Cord.
Many of his critics appeared to pop the champagne after news of his firing came through.
On social media, they used memes, gifs and tweets to mock the man they say was overzealous in his assignment.
Mr Itumbi was sent home on Wednesday night alongside head of public communications Munyori Buku, chief of messaging at the Presidency Eric Ngeno and branding and events head James Kinyua.
Mr Itumbi is yet to address the issue. On his Facebook page, he posted a message on social media day, steering clear of the subject.
The memes.
