Interior CS warns those causing chaos in party primaries
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has stated that the national government will be involved in party primaries as political parties have been unable to run chaos free nominations.
Mr Nkaissery warned that those getting involved in the nomination chaos will be dealt with according to the law.
“We will not allow anyone to disrupt peace in the country,” said Mr Nkaissery.
He said the national government had in accordance to the Political Parties Act left political parties to run nominations but will now get involved fully to ensure peace.
Mr Nkaissery commended the media for capturing those involved in the chaos to ensure justice prevails and the offenders are charged.
Already 17 people have been arraigned in court in connection with the chaos that erupted in Migori County.
