Night guard kills love rival after catching him red-handed with his wife
A middle aged man was clobbered to death in Moi Ndabi village in Naivasha on suspicion of being in an illicit affair with a married woman.
The woman’s husband, a night guard at a flower farm, is said to have laid a trap, before accosting the two whom he found in a compromising position in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The wife is said to have bolted to safety in the ensuing confusion and police still looking for her.
According to the Naivasha deputy commissioner Isaac Masinde, the guard stormed into the house and clobbered the man to death.
“In a fit of anger, the watchman hit the accused several times on the head, killing him on the spot,” said the administrator.
He said the guard had suspected that his wife was having an extramarital affair and decided to track her.
The suspect was later arrested and taken to the Naivasha police station.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Naivasha sub-county hospital mortuary.
