Woman scours mortuaries for taxi driver husband missing without a trace

Taxi driver Victor Sindani Masinde drove out of his home in Juja, Kiambu County, on February 17  to take a passenger to Kitengela.

It was going to be a quick drop off, he told his wife, and even promised to return home for breakfast.

He has since disappeared without a trace.

His wife  told Nairobi News that her husband received a call from the client at 9:30am.

“He promised that he would be back to take the breakfast I had prepared for him as soon as he gets the passenger to Athi-River,” she recalled.

Ms Biwatt never doubted her husband’s word; he had never broken any promise since they knew each other five years ago.

‘HAS NEVER LIED’

“He has never lied to me, again he never breaks promises. But on this he did and I’m now wondering where he might have gone,” she said.

Her husband’s phone has since been switched off. She has searched through morgues and hospitals but is yet to find her husband, a man she describe as “loving and caring.”

Police have assured her that they will get to the bottom of the matter.

“My request is that the police find out where my husband is and who was the man who asked to be taken to Kitengela,” she said.

No arrests have been made so far in connection to the disappearance.

Juja police boss Alpha Matar told Nairobi News that investigations into the matter are on going.

“We have been sharing with the lady and investigations as we talk are ongoing,” said the police boss who was newly transferred to the station.
