The Catholic Church is selling the programme for the Papal’s Mass scheduled for Thursday this week.

The 48-page booklet, which includes all the readings and the hymns, is retailing at Sh50.

“This is a guide for the people who will attend the Mass at the University of Nairobi and also for those who will following the events on TV,” said youth coordinator, Nyeri Archdiocese, Christopher Kameme.

According to the programme, the event begins with the arrival of guests at 4am.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is scheduled to arrive at 9am.

Pope Francis will leave the university grounds at 12:15 after celebrating a two-hour Mass.

The programme is being sold at all Catholic dioceses.

Mr Kameme said that the proceeds will go the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops for Liturgy to support the three-day visit by the pontiff.

So far, 1,000 people from 40 parishes in Nyeri County have registered for the Mass.
