Uhuru Park a favorite hangout for Nairobians over Christmas – PHOTOS


Uhuru Park proved to the favourite hangout location for thousands of Nairobians on Christmas Day.

Despite fears of subdued business activity, the popular recreational park was a beehive of activities with many parents taking their children for a Christmas treat.

Kids in particular enjoyed horse rides, bouncing castles and carousel rides.

Thankfully, security was guaranteed for those who thronged the park with a heavy presence of police officers at the park.

In sharp contrast to the masses at the park, streets and car parking slots in the city’s CBD remained largely deserted.

At the nearby All Saints Cathedral, thousands of faithful attended multiple services to celebrate Christmas, an annual event that commemorates the birth of Jesus.
