Uhuru publicly blasts Sonko on Miguna saga – VIDEO

President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Wednesday irked by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s suggestion that he should not be intimidated by the choice of lawyer Miguna Miguna as deputy Governor.

Sonko’s remarks did not go well with the Head of State, who was seated behind the governor, and was heard shouting back that no one intimidates him.

“Mambo ya Miguna Miguna isikutishe… mambo ya loyalty isikutishe kwa sababu tuna say kwa bunge la assembly na pia watu wako walikuwa wamenisumbua sana… wamenipiga left, right and centre lakini mimi ninakuheshimu na serikali yetu inakuheshimu na tuko na wewe tuhakikishe umeacha legacy hapa,” said Sonko.

“Nani amekwambia inanitisha,” the president could be heard saying.

VISIBLY ANGRY UHURU

Minutes later, a visibly angry president stood up and asked the Nairobi County boss to desist from making veiled threats.

The President angrily told off the governor, saying he could not be intimidated by anyone.

“Sonko amesema hapa ati mimi nisiogope na nisitishwe sijui Miguna, mimi nataka niwaambie na niwaambie hata nyinyi, mimi naheshimu kila Mkenya lakini sitishwi na mtu hata mmoja,” said the President.

Uhuru told Sonko to stop sideshows but work for Nairobi residents.

“Tuwache porojo, tuwache upuzi, tufanye kazi ya kuinuwa hali ya hawa wananchi jameni, ama mwasemaje wenzangu? Mnakubaliana na mimi tufanye kazi pamoja? Sisi twataka kuona sura ya Kenya ikibadilika,” he added.

“Mimi haja yangu ni kufanya kazi na viongozi wote, haja yangu ni kufanya kazi na wewe Sonko kuinua hali ya hawa wananchi. ,” he added.

The two were speaking at an event to issue title deeds to Nairobi residents at Jacaranda grounds.
