Best three KCPE candidates surprised with holiday treat

The top three candidates in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations, whose results were released on Monday, have been rewarded with an offer for a three-day vacation at the coast from the unlikeliest source.

The three candidates are Olive Mwea Wachira (Riara School, Nairobi), Rawlings Odhiambo (Kakamega Hill School, Kakamega) and Victor Momanyi Mogusu (Emmanuel Springs Academy, Makueni).

Olive, Rawlings and Victor, who scored 453, 453 and 452 marks respectively, will enjoy the all-expense paid trip courtesy of Kenyan songbird Akothee.

The singer made the revelation in an Instagram post a day after the announcement of the result of the examinations.

Akothee said the top performers, accompanied by their parents, will be flown to Malindi Dream Garden by Silverstone Air next week.

“Congratulations to all mothers in the world for giving us purpose in life , see success, @silverstoneairservices will be flying the top 3 candidates for holiday! direction malindi @malindidreamgarden katasi of @akotheesafaris we can’t wait to dine with @kenyancanadian let’s all say one word for mothers all over the world , tag this three company’s and tell us what you would like us to do for you,” wrote Akothee.
