This is the bible Uhuru will use to take oath of office

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto will be sworn in Tuesday for their second term in office at the Moi sports center, Kasarani.

President Kenyatta is expected to take the oath of office with the bible that was used by his late father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta when he was sworn in as president in 1964.

Deputy President William Ruto will use the bible that Mzee Kenyatta used while being sworn in as prime minister in 1963.

But a jibe by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has sparked an online debate.

In a cheeky post, the MP asked his followers which version of the bible is the right one to use in swearing in of the president.

“Has someone reconfirmed which version of the Bible is the right one to swear in President Uhuru Kenyatta? I am worried we might use the New Jerusalem Bible then civil society idlers goes to court claiming we should have used King James version,”
