Terrarium users dejected after developer announces its closure

Lovers of bootleg movies are dejected after popular movie streaming app Terrarium announced that it is shutting down for good.

For starters, the app, which sits on android gadgets, aggregates movies and series mainly from Hollywood. Users can then watch them on mobile or TV through casting or android boxes.

That now comes to an end. The developer of the app says the app will stop operating from end of September.

The developer sent an emotional farewell message to app users, even using “RIP” at the end.

He did not offer exact reasons for the drastic decision. Previously, the developer has stayed updates only to return with better versions.

GOING FOR GOOD

This time though, he says, the app is going for good.

Users who opened the app on Tuesday go the message: “It has always been a great pleasure to work on this project. However, it is time to say good bye. I am going to shut down Terrarium TV forever. I know this day will come eventually. I know it would be hard to let go. But it is really time for me to move on to other projects. Thank you for all your support through the years. Thanks to all Terrarium TV supporters and communities. Thank you, Nic, and all the people around the world who care about this project. Please note that you will not be able to open the Terrarium TV app after the end of September as the app will close itself automatically. Please do not try to click the update button because it will not download any new version of the app. Thank you and farewell. Best regards, NitroXenon Terrarium TV R.I.P. September 11, 2018.”

ITS DEMISE

Some users complained that they had updated the app without reading the message and are now unable to use the app despite more than 20 days remaining before its demise.

Others camped on social media to express frustrations while others looked for alternatives.
