Why tenants are concerned about stability of Ruiru’s tallest building
Concerns have emerged on the structural soundness of Ruiru’s tallest building after it developed a crack on its ground floor.
The building, which is still under construction, already has two banks operating on its ground floor.
The National Bank of Kenya and Co-operative Bank on Tuesday closed their premises after a crack was noticed inside one of the banking halls.
The two banks have put up posters requesting customers to use alternative branches to transact business.
In the posters, the banks claim they closed their premises to give room for renovations.
A guard at the building disclosed that some ‘engineers have been called in to assess the extent of the crack’ inside the Co-operative Bank banking hall.
