Teenagers arrested ‘shooting porn’ in city centre – VIDEO

Police arrested eight teenagers over the weekend for indecent exposure and engaging in sexual acts in the city centre.

The youths were arrested at the Michuki Park, near Globe roundabout. They were found red handed in varied states of nudity. Some were completely naked.

They included seven girls and one boy. Others escaped when police arrived.

Central police OCPD Robinson Thuku told Nairobi News that among those who escaped were two adults who were taking explicit pictures and videos of the youngsters.

“We received a tip off from a concerned citizen who informed us of a group of underage boys and girls and that what they were doing was bringing discomfort to observers in the public. Some of them were actually completely nude,” said Mr Thuku in the interview.

PICTURES FOR FUN

Upon interrogation, the teenagers confessed that they were taking the pictures for fun.

The explicit pictures were to be uploaded to a social media account called Party Animal.

Police are  yet to establish how the teenagers who take part in such activities are scouted.

“We are still investigating further on the matter to find out exactly how or where communication is given for such events. Most of those we managed to arrest did not know each other and said that a location was texted to them,” explained Mr Thuku.

He added: “It appears to be something that is happening and we are urging parents to be more responsible of their children. We are also asking members of the public to be more vigilant and report to us whenever they see such incidents.”

RELEASED

The teenagers were released to their parent and guardians.

Last week Kenyans online launched a campaign to publicly shame youngsters who post nasty pictures on social media under the hashtag #IfikieWazazi.
