Here is why TB Joshua’s prophesy on Clinton was ‘correct’

Two weeks after the US presidential election, Democratic Party candidate, Hillary Clinton, remains ahead in the popular vote that is still being counted.

Despite Republican candidate, Donald Trump, winning the presidency through the Electoral College vote, Mrs Clinton is over 1 million votes ahead.

This is the fourth time an American Presidential candidate has won the presidency despite losing the in the popular vote.

The Electoral College votes are distributed according to the population in the different states.

One of the reason why the system was developed was to ensure that highly populated states do not dominate the elections.

Mr Trump, the President-elect, who bagged 290 of the college votes against Mrs Clinton’s 232, will be sworn into office in January 2017.

As the tallying goes on, the Independent reported Tuesday that Mrs Clinton so far has 63.6 million votes compared to 61.9 million for Mr Trump – meaning she has received more votes than any other US presidential candidate in history except outgoing president Barack Obama.

Mr Trump on November 15 reacted to the news that he was lagging behind in the public vote.

His reaction contrasts sharply with his utterances back in 2012 when President Obama won in the Electoral College votes and was erroneously indicated to have been losing in popular vote.

Mr Trump called the Electoral College “a disaster for democracy” after mistakenly thinking that President Obama had lost the public vote but retained the presidency.

Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua who had prophesied a woman’s win in the US elections could as well have been right, considering the widening gap in the popular vote.

In a more detailed footage, the preacher had added that the woman would face a lot of challenges, a bit that was interestingly omitted in the first broadcast.
