Swiss President excites Kenyans after tweeting in perfect Swahili

Swiss President Alain Berset arrives in Nairobi on Sunday for a three-day official visit and will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ahead of his arrival, President Berset tweeted in Swahili, about his visit to Kenya.

(As Swiss President, I am visiting Kenya from Sunday to Tuesday. I come well aware that Kenya has a history of being a good country with good people. I hope for fruitful discussions with my host).

Tweeps were quick to respond to the Swiss president, some warning him of the contraband products in circulation, cat meat, Mexico maize, among many other things.

Others warned Kenyans not to air their dirty linen to the visitor because “we can talk about them when he leaves”.
