Sonko warns Nairobians of fake City Hall staff
Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has unearthed a cartel of imposters who have been issuing people with fake receipts.
The governor warned city residents to beware of fake city officials masquerading as departmental heads.
Mr Sonko shared a video on Facebook of an alleged imposter who was busted by police while in possession of fake staff ID and national ID, as well as receipts from various departments.
The suspect claimed to be working with other officers employed in different departments.
The governor’s warning elicited mixed reactions with Nairobians calling for better identification documents and uniforms for City Hall staff.
Jst give them uniforms and identification cards which we can verify eg with QR technology
