How Sonko plans to fix Nairobi’s trash problems after ban on plastic bags
Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Sonko has announced his plan to aid city dwellers fix their garbage disposal problems in the wake of the ban on plastic bags, including garbage bags.
In a tweet on Friday, Mr Sonko assured Nairobians that he will ensure every household ges a large trash can that will be emptied everyday by the county in collaboration with youth groups.

The Environment ministry, through the National Environmental Management Authority, has been resolute in its decision to ban plastic bags from August 28.
Sonko’s tweet elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on Twitter.
