Shebesh withdraws assault charges against Kidero

Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh has withdrawn assault charges against Governor Evans Kidero.

Mrs Shebesh withdrew the charges on Tuesday morning at Parliament police station, bringing to an end the five-month saga between the two city politicians.

The governor is alleged to have slapped the Women’s Rep on September 6 last year at his office.

The two signed a reconciliation agreement on February 6, 2014 in which they agreed never to revisit complaints they had made against each other.

In the agreement, the two renounced and withdrew the complaints they had made against each other either by themselves, agents, witnesses or anybody claiming through them at Parliament or the Central Police Station.

Governor Kidero had last week withdrawn charges he had filed at Cenral police station against Mrs Shebesh.
