Shebesh-Passaris ‘love affair’ ends dramatically

Nairobi woman representative candidate Esther Passaris has distanced herself from the violence that disrupted her opponent Rachel Shebesh’s meeting in the CBD.

Passaris, whom Shebesh has blamed for the incident, said she had nothing to do with the violence.

Shebesh had met women at a church near Railways when youths accused her of buying votes and demanded that all attendees leave the venue.

The youths threw chairs outside the meeting hall as women came out running and scampered for safety.

Shebesh in an interview said she was meeting the women to share her agenda and distribute bursaries.

MATURE POLITICS

Na mimi nataka kumabia Passaris, kama ni vita unatafuta usitafute Shebesh,” said Shebesh amid cheers from her supporters.

But in a quick rejoinder, Pasariss said she stands for a peaceful electoral process.

“I sympathize with @RachelShebesh and condemn in the strongest possible terms this violence. I stand for a peaceful and democratic process,” she wrote.
