Seven flights diverted as heavy fog descends at JKIA

Seven incoming flights were diverted from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Tuesday morning due to heavy fog.

The flights were divereted to Mombasa’s Moi International Airport

Several morning departures were also delayed by the civil aviation authority as they waited for the fog to clear.

Kenya airways was the most affected by the diversions, with five of its planes being redirected to Mombasa.

Other flights that were diverted included one Qatar Air flight and one Air Uganda flight.
