Is this the official ‘second divorce’ of Raila and Miguna?

Three and a half months after Miguna Miguna controversially swore in Raila Odinga as ‘People’s President’, the fallout between these two politicians appears complete.

In an interactive session with Kenyans living in London on Friday, Odinga lashed out at Miguna Miguna, accusing him of among other things complicating his return to Kenya.

The opposition leader also advised the self-styled NRM General to head to the Kenyan High Commission in Ottawa to formalize his citizenship.

Odinga also confirmed having engaged President Uhuru Kenyatta on the need to have Miguna return home.

KENYAN PAPERS

“On this issue of my friend Miguna, this is something that has been blown out of proportion,” said Odinga.

“He was supposed to come and we have agreed that he can go to the High Commission in Ottawa (Canada) and get Kenyan papers which he will use to come with to Kenya, Is that okay?”

But Miguna has since hit back at Mr Odinga with claims that the ODM party leader is being ‘mischievous’ and economical with the truth.

Miguna has twice been deported to Canada this year by the government with senior government officials insisting that he surrendered his Kenyan citizenship, allegations he denies.

“He (Odinga) knows I have a valid passport and have never renounced my citizenship. My passport was taken away by the goons who abducted me,” Miguna said.
